Home Sweet Bus

The Allen Family

NQC Performers Coming to TLC

Some familiar NQC faces are coming to TLC’s fall lineup

The Allen Family debuted on the NQC main stage this year, and on Tuesday, October 28 at 10 p.m., TLC will air the pilot episode of their new reality show, “Home Sweet Bus.”

Todd and Michelle Allen spent the last 18 years in full-time Gospel music ministry. During that time, they raised their family on the road. Today, they along with their five sons, three daughters, one daughter-in-law and twin toddler grandchildren, live on their tour bus full-time and perform more than 275 shows per year.

“Literally, I was born on the road,” said daughter Danielle about living on the bus. “I don’t have anything to compare it to. Like, I’ve never lived in a house. It’s so normal for me. It’s just like it would be for you to live in a house.”

In 2000, Todd, Michelle, and their oldest son, Caleb received first place in the National Quartet Convention Talent Search. They received two Singing News Fan Award nominations for Favorite New Mixed Group both in 2013 and in 2014.
