Bass Singer of the Year: Eric Bennett, Triumphant Quartet

An individual who has performed primarily as a bass vocalist as a member of a group within the eligibility period.

 

Baritone Singer of the Year: Jim Brady, Booth Brothers

An individual who has performed primarily as a baritone vocalist as a member of a group within the eligibility period.

 

Lead Singer of the Year: Ronnie Booth, Booth Brothers

An individual who has performed primarily as a lead vocalist as a member of a group within the eligibility period.

 

Tenor Singer of the Year: David Phelps, Gaither Vocal Band

An individual who has performed primarily as a tenor vocalist as a member of a group within the eligibility period.

 

Alto Singer of the Year: Sheri Easter

An individual who has performed primarily as an alto vocalist as a member of a group within the eligibility period.

 

Soprano Singer of the Year: Kim Hopper, The Hoppers

An individual who has performed primarily as a soprano vocalist as a member of a group within the eligibility period.

 

Soloist of the Year: Jason Crabb

A male or female vocalist who has performed and recorded primarily as a soloist within the eligibility period.

 

Male Group of the Year: Booth Brothers

A group that has performed primarily as an all-male group within the eligibility period.

 

Mixed Group of the Year: The Collingsworth Family

A group that has performed in either a male and female configuration or an all-female configuration within the eligibility period.

 

Musician of the Year: Kim Collingsworth, The Collingsworth Family

A musician who is known as a solo instrumentalist and who has either performed as a soloist or part of a group within the eligibility period.

 

Album of the Year: Celebrate Me Home, The Perrys

A full length recording of six or more complete songs, the preponderance of which is Southern Gospel in style and substance that was released within the eligibility period.

 

Song of the Year: “I Know A Man Who Can”, Greater Vision

A recorded single that was released to radio within the eligibility period. (A song may be eligible if released to radio within the eligibility period even if the recording on which it appears was released outside of the eligibility period.)

 

INDUSTRY CATEGORIES:

 

Producer / Arranger of the Year: Lari Goss

A person who has worked in a creative capacity to produce and/or arrange multiple recordings of an exceptionally high quality within the eligibility period.

 

Concert Promoter of the Year: Bill Gaither

A person who displays exceptional promotion skills and conducts their business fairly and honorably and has promoted at least four concerts within the eligibility period. (Each day of a multi-day event will be considered a concert)

 

Songwriter of the Year: Dianne Wilkinson

The songwriter whose song(s) have had the most activity on the Singing News radio charts during the eligibility period. This will be determined by a weighted tabulation method rather than voting.

 

Radio Station of the Year: WBOZ, Nashville, TN

Five nominees determined by a craft committee of radio promotion professionals.

 

Les Beasley Impact Award: enLighten Radio, Sirius/XM

A currently active individual or company that the professional members of the Southern Gospel Music Guild believe has dramatically impacted the Southern Gospel Music field over any portion of the previous five-year time period.
